Advocacy

For every immigrant and refugee that comes to the United States, there are many questions about US immigration and citizenship policies. Often, these policies are confusing to newcomers, and they need assistance understanding and navigating the complex system to accomplish their immigration and citizenship goals.

At Tacoma Community House, our multilingual services department is a culturally diverse department that specializes in three core programs: Immigration Services, U.S. Citizenship, and Social Services. Our staff speak a variety of languages to break through communication barriers, which increases our ability to provide the services necessary to link our clients with the information, forms, and processes they need.

We also help people understand and navigate various social systems: school, healthcare, housing, employment, and others.
